Our Purpose
We began by seeking out knowledgeable Elders and holders of traditional teachings who generously shared their wisdom about seasonal cycles, the animals, food systems, and our relationship with the land. Each season carries its own teachings, and each being on the land holds knowledge that guides us. As people of the land, it is our responsibility to listen, learn, and pass those teachings forward.
This platform was created as a place where teachers, community members, and Onkwehonwe learners can easily access resources that support the teaching of these values and skills within our communities. We continue to grow this work by adding more voices and teachings as they are shared with us.
